Airtel partnered with TCS to develop the 5G network indigenously. The companies claim that they will provide better facilities to the customers.
Airtel and TCS come together for 5G network
Bharti Airtel and Tata group have joined hands to develop 5G network in India. Both announced this partnership today. The company issued a statement saying that Airtel will work indigenously to implement its 5G plans in India. Also, following the guidelines issued by the Government of India, the pilot scheme will be started by the year 2022, January.
The Tata group also said in the statement that state-of-the-art O-RAN based radios and NSA/SA cores have been developed. In this a completely indigenous telecom stack has been integrated with the help of the partner company. It will be available for commercial development from January 2022.
The company claims that these ‘Made in India’ 5G products and solutions are at par with global standards. Its interface and Oran Alliance interoperate with other products. Airtel will prove itself again through 5G network. It will also open up export opportunities for India. It has become the world’s second largest telecom market, the country will progress further in the coming days.

It is to be noted that Airtel is a board member of the O-RAN alliance and is responsible for locating and implementing O-RAN based networks in India. Earlier this year, Airtel demonstrated 5G on its LIVE network in Hyderabad city. It is said that it was the first telecom company in India to do so. The company has started 5G trials in major cities using the spectrum allotted by the DoT.
