Kia Sonet Specification

The concept of this compact SUV was first seen at Auto Expo 2020. Since then, the launch of Sonet is eagerly awaited. Sonnet unveiled globally in August is going to be launched on September 18. It will compete with cars like Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport and Tata Nexon. Kia Sonet will get two petrol engine options 1.2 liter and 1.0 liter turbo GDI.

The diesel engine option will be a 1.5-liter turbo. Transmission options will be 5 speed manual, 6 speed manual, 6 speed automatic and 7 speed DCT. Also, 6-speed IMT transmission technology will be available. Intelligent manual transmission (IMT) provides clutchless gear shifting with the control of manual shift lever. A 6-speed automatic transmission will be available with the diesel engine, which is a first in class feature. Kiya Sonnet will be equipped with 55 connected features. Its ex-showroom price in the Indian market is expected to be between Rs 7-12 lakhs.

Toyota Urban Cruiser

Toyota’s Urban Cruiser, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has a new avatar. This is the second model offered under an agreement between the two companies. Prior to this agreement, Toyota Glanza has come, which is a rebadged version of Maruti’s Baleno. The Toyota Urban Cruiser is expected to get a 1.5 liter 4 cylinder petrol engine, which generates 103 hp power. The vehicle will be launched in mid-September and will compete with Hyundai Venue, Ford Ecosport, Tata Nexon and the upcoming Kia Sonet. The Toyota Urban Cruiser ex-showroom Delhi price can be between Rs 7.3 lakh and Rs 11.4 lakh.

Mercedes-Benz EQC

Mercedes-Benz launched its electrified brand EQ in India earlier this year. The Mercedes-Benz EQC will be an all-electric SUV. There will be two electric motors with the dual-motor all-wheel-drive layout. Talking about the battery pack, the car will have an 80kWh lithium-ion battery. The EQC SUV will be able to cover a distance of 417kms on a single charge. The Mercedes-Benz EQC is expected to be launched in late September and the price will be more than Rs 1 crore.

Skoda Rapid Automatic

This car can be launched in mid-September. The Skoda Rapid Automatic will compete with cars like Volkswagen Vento, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Honda City and Toyota Yaris. The 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine of the Skoda Rapid BS6 currently comes with a 6-speed manual transmission. In the automatic version, the car will get 6 speed torque converter. The ARAI Certified Fuel Efficiency of Skoda Rapid automatic is 16.24kpl. The price of Skoda Rapid Automatic can range from 9.5 lakh to 13 lakh rupees.
