Skoda, the major car manufacturer of the Czech Republic, has achieved a tremendous jump in terms of sales. This company has achieved a growth of 234 percent in terms of sales in July. In fact, Skoda India has announced its July 2021 sales figures, in which the company has said that it has sold a total of 3,080 vehicles in July, which is 234 percent more than in July last year. In July last year, Skoda India sold a total of 922 vehicles.
Apart from this, if compared to the previous month, the company has achieved a growth of 320 percent. In June 2021, the company sold 734 vehicles. According to the company, the reason for the increase in sales is the launch of Skoda Kushak, which was introduced by the company last month. Along with this, the company has also introduced the Skoda Octavia sedan. Since its launch, this new SUV is getting a great response. Skoda Kushak received 2000 bookings in the first week itself, whereas till now this car has got bookings of 6000 units.
Skoda Kushaq Specs and Price
The price of this SUV ranges from Rs 10.50 lakh to Rs 17.60 lakh. Its automatic variant costs Rs 14.19 lakh while the 1.5 liter TSI costs Rs 16.19 lakh. The car comes in two petrol engine options which include a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder TSI petrol engine and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder TSI petrol engine. In this, the 1.0 liter engine generates power of 113bhp and peak torque of 175Nm. At the same time, the 1.5 liter engine generates power of 148bhp and peak torque of 250Nm.
The Skoda Kushaq is being offered in three variants – Active, Ambition and Style. Along with this, it gets 5 color options of Honey Orange, Tornado Red, Candy White, Reflex Silver and Carbon Steel. This SUV is based on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB A0 IN platform. The exterior is quite distinctive and gets slim headlamps, LED DRLs, trapezoidal fog lamps and a large front butterfly grille wrapped around an LED tail lamp. It gets front bumper, skid plates and roof rails with flared wheel arches which add to its sporty appeal.

The base variant gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system while the top 2 trims get a 10-inch infotainment system with Android and Apple CarPlay. Apart from this, the SUV has been given wireless mirrorlink, ventilated front seats, electric sunroof, AC vents in the rear, cruise control, ambient lighting and 7-speaker music system. Along with this, in terms of security devices, it includes multi-collision braking, electronic differential lock, anti-slip regulation, brake disc wiping, roll over mitigation, dual airbags, stability control, ABS and EBD. 6 airbags, rear parking camera, auto headlamps, tire pressure monitoring system and hill start assist are provided as standard across all variants of this SUV.
