New Delhi: Most of the auto manufacturer cars have offered infotainment system. They have become quite regular in the recent past, with even small hatchback cars coming with very good infotainment systems. What started as a luxury feature for high-end sedans or SUVs is now a common feature in any car segment. However, these infotainment systems are offered as an incentive in new vehicles.
There are many old cars on the road that do not have an infotainment system. However, if you’re looking to crank up the volume while driving and access new tech features to make traveling easier, you can simply use your Android phone.
Android Auto is here and it is very easy to use. This system lets you bring apps to your phone screen or car display so you can focus while you drive. Apart from this, you can control many features like navigation, calls, text messages and music without any problem while driving.

The first steps to using it are to check that your phone is running Android 6.0 and up, compatible with Android Auto (meaning controls like a touchscreen, rotary knob, or touchpad), and a USB cable. There is no requirement that your car is already equipped with wireless Android Auto capability.
The wireless feature also has a downside as it uses up your phone battery more than using wired Android Auto, while a wired connection also charges your phone on the go. Even if your car doesn’t have a touchscreen or infotainment system, you can use a smartphone mount and download the Android Auto app to your smartphone and use it as an infotainment system.
