TVS Motor’s revenue increased to Rs 6,131.90 crore in the fourth quarter, from Rs 4,104.71 crore in the same period of FY 2019-20.
There was a strong growth in the sales of automobile companies in the fourth quarter of the financial year ended with increasing desire of people to own their own vehicles and in the face of long suppressed demand. TVS Motor Company reported that its integrated net profit increased nearly four-fold to Rs 319.19 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2021. This is due to strong sales in domestic and international markets.
The company earned a net profit of Rs 81.84 crore during the January-March quarter of 2019-20. TVS Motor said in a regulatory notice that revenue from operations increased to Rs 6,131.90 crore in the fourth quarter, from Rs 4,104.71 crore in the same period of FY 2019-20. TVS Motor Company said that it sold 2,02,155 two-wheelers in the domestic market in March. With this, the stock of TVS on BSE rose to 16664 percent at Rs 661.10 and on NSE, it was 17.25 percent to Rs 664.
The company said that during the period under review, its total two-wheeler and three-wheeler sales in domestic and international markets stood at 9.28 lakh units, which was 47 percent higher than the 6.33 lakh units sold in the fourth quarter of 2019-20.
The company had a profit of 607.50 crores
For the entire 2020-21 financial year, the company earned a net profit of Rs 607.50 crore, representing a decline of 6.07 per cent against a net profit of Rs 646.80 crore in FY 2020. The company said that during the year ended March 2021, its total two-wheeler and three-wheeler sales, including exports, stood at 30.52 lakh units in the period under review as compared to 32.63 lakh units in the year 2019-20.

The company told the stock market that this model with 159.7 cc single-cylinder engine will be available in two variants. Its disc brake variants have been priced at Rs 1,10,320 and drum brake variants have been priced at Rs 1,07,270.
