The conversation between Musk and Sweeney took place on Twitter via Direct Message (DM). Musk pressured Sweeney to first try to figure out how Sweeney set up bots to track his planes and what he earned by operating them.
According to Protocol, @ElonJet is one of 15 flight-tracking accounts created by Sweeney. Each of these handles follows a high-profile person, including Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos. But the @ElonJet handle dedicated to tracking Musk’s plane has the most followers (over 115,000 at the time of writing).
After all, Musk has offered Sweeney $5,000 to shut down this Twitter handle. A New York Post report informed that Sweeney has demanded $50,000 to close the handle. He says “It [राशि] College [फीस] And maybe even give me a chance to buy a car, maybe a Tesla Model 3 electric car.”
Musk at first said he would consider Sweeney’s offer, but later said it was “not fair” to pay to close the handle. When asked about receiving Direct Messages from Musk, Sweeney told the New York Post that it was “awesome, but kinda scary.” He said he would be interested in working for one of Musk’s companies in the future, possibly for an internship.<!–
