Hyundai Creta: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has claimed that it has sold more than 1.21 lakh units of the new Creta SUV in the last one year. It was launched only last year after showing a glimpse of this car at the Auto Expo. As claimed by Hyundai, the new Creta performed wonderfully for the South Korean auto manufacturer’s SUV segment in India at the CY2020. The Creta was first launched in India in 2015 and became a popular model in the highly sought-after SUV space. The SUV has sold more than 5.8 lakh units in the domestic market so far.
Hyundai has also said that the Creta SUV gives the best example of brand commitment under Make in India. It has exported 2.16 lakh units of Creta from India. Hyundai Motors said on Tuesday that 51 per cent of Creta’s total sales have been achieved through its SX and SX (O) trims. The Hyundai Creta was launched by the company on March 18 last year, after which the lockdown was implemented across the country after just a few days. But despite this, this vehicle has performed amazingly in India.

The engine
The Hyundai Creta is available in the market with a total of three engine options, including two petrol and one diesel engine. In one variant of its petrol version, the company has used 1.5 liter natural aspirated petrol and 1.4 liter turbo petrol engine in other variants. At the same time, in the diesel version, the company has been given a diesel engine of 1.5 liters capacity.
