According to GAC, the Aion LX Plus will have a NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) range of over 1000 kms. A report by CarScoops says that the CLTC (China Light Duty Vehicle Test Cycle) range of this car will be 626 miles (approximately 1008 km). This electric SUV car has been introduced as an upgrade to the existing GAC Aion LX, which was announced in 2019.
The report further states that this electric car has a huge battery pack of 144.4 kWh capacity, due to which such a tremendous range can be achieved. However, this battery pack will reportedly be for the top-end model only. This battery pack is made with GAC’s exclusive technology, which uses an elastic sheet, which makes the pack 20 percent smaller and reportedly 14 percent lighter.
At present, the company has not revealed its specifications, but a report by CarScoop claims that the Aion LX Plus electric car has dual electric motors, which are capable of generating a maximum power of 225 hp. It operates on all four wheels through a two-speed gearbox. Thanks to this power, this electric car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h in just 2.9 seconds.<!–
