According to the local fire department, the car was at a fuel station when the accident took place. The fire brigade workers tried to extinguish the fire for more than two hours but by the time they were successful, there was not much left in it. The car caught fire due to this
According to officials, the owner bought the car three days before the incident and it was driven only 160 km. The good thing is that no person was injured in the incident. The fire department has not been able to ascertain the cause of the fire. However, according to reports, the owner of McLaren accidentally dropped fuel in the exhaust, which triggered it and scorched the sports car worth Rs 2.66 crore.
The Fire Department has subsequently released photographs of the remains of the McLaren 765LT. Looking at them, it appears that the car has been damaged beyond repair and it is probably not possible to identify it.

This specific model of McLaren is a limited variant with only 765 units being developed. It is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that is attached to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
