The SUV will be pitted against the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonnet and Tata Nexon.
5 door Maruti Jimny
Maruti Suzuki is also working on the Jimny SUV here which will be launched in the international market along with India. The 5 door Jimny has already been tested in Europe. In such a situation, it can be launched in the Indian market by July 2021. According to the new report, its wheelbase will be 300mm long.
The new model will get a turbocharged engine and mild hybrid system. In this, you can be given a 1.4-liter turbo petrol engine, which is also given in the Swift Sport. The 1.5-liter NA petrol engine will be given in the Indian spec model. It will also have a 3 door model. Both manual and automatic gearbox options will be on offer.
Maruti-Toyota Mid Size SUV
Maruti Suzuki and Toyota are working on a new mid-size SUV. The SUV will be placed opposite the Hyundai Creta, Kia Celtos and the upcoming VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and MG Ashtar. The new SUV is being built on Toyota’s new DNGA platform. The new SUV model will be made at Toyota’s production plant.
