The Ola Electric scooter will be manufactured at the company’s Tamil Nadu facility. This facility is being said to be the world’s largest electric two-wheeler facility and a total of 10 million vehicles will be produced in it annually. Initially, it will meet the domestic demand and later from here it will be sent to Latin America, UK, New Zealand etc. Ola’s Future Factory is being built with an investment of about Rs 2400 crore.
Initially, more than 2 thousand people will get jobs in this facility. At the same time, up to 10,000 people will be appointed when fully started. It will have 10 simple assembly lines and will be able to roll out a scooter every two seconds and 25,000 batteries per day. Ola Electric will compete with Hero Electric, TVS, Bajaj, Ather Energy, Okinawa and other companies. If the company is to be believed, Ola’s electric scooter will give a range of 150 km in a single charge and will come with fast charging support.
