Tata Tiago CNG can be pre-booked by paying a refundable token amount of Rs 11,000 to Rs 15,000 depending on the dealership. Currently, the Tiago comes with a BS6 compliant 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine. This motor generates power of 86 PS at 6000 RPM and peak torque of 113 Nm at 3300 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard and also gets an optional 5-speed AMT.
The upcoming CNG version of the car is expected to get a de-tuned version of this 1.2-litre petrol motor and the engine will only be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
