Tata Nexon EV price hiked: Car maker Tata Motors has announced an increase in the prices of its popular SUV Tata Nexon EV. The company has increased the price of all variants of Tata Nexon EV by 25 thousand rupees. The Nexon EV is currently the best selling electric car in the country. It was first launched in India in January 2020 and since then more than 14,000 vehicles of this EV have been sold. The new prices of the Tata Nexon EV range from Rs 14.54 lakh to Rs 17.15 lakh (ex-showroom).

Tata Nexon EV is currently available in five variants namely XM, XZ+, XZ+ Lux, XZ+ Dark Edition and XZ+ Lux Dark Edition. The price of all variants has been increased by Rs 25,000. Talking about its specifications, the Nexon EV gets a 30.2kWh lithium-ion battery pack along with an electric motor. The powertrain generates a maximum power of 129 hp and peak torque of 245 Nm, mated to an automatic transmission.

The Nexon EV has an ARAI-certified driving range of 312 km per charge. Moreover, using a DC fast charger, it can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in just 60 minutes, while using a regular charger can charge it from 20 to 100 percent in eight hours. Tata Motors is planning to launch a long range version of the Nexon EV this year.
