Pratap Bose, the design chief of Tata Motors, which designs vehicles such as Tiago, Nexon, Harrier, Safari, has recently resigned from his post. According to the company, he has left his post for a better chance. Now Martin Ulariq is going to take his place. Ulariq has previously served as the Head of Design of Tata Motors European Technical Center (TMETC). Ulariq is about to take office with immediate effect.
It is amazing to see Pratap Bose abruptly resign from his post. Pratap is someone who brought a revolution in the design of Tata Motors and the last few years have seen major changes in the design of the company’s new models. In the last three-four years, Pratap Bose’s team designed models like Tata Tiago, Tigor, Hexa, Nexon. Apart from this, vehicles like Harrier, Nexon and Nexon EV, Safari and Ultraz Premium Hatchback are also included in this list.
Pratap Bose was also nominated for World Car Person of the Year 2021. He was working with Tata Motors for the last 14 years and in 2019 he was made Vice President of Global Design. He has worked in the company’s three design centers Turin (Italy), Pune and Coventry (UK). His first design project for Tata Motors was the Safari Storm and he also designed the new Safari for the last time. However, no information has been given yet about what Pratap Bose is going to do next.
Please tell that Ulariq, who replaces Pratap Bose, has a total of 27 years working experience working with different car companies. He joined Tata Motors as Head of Design in London in 2016. Along with this, he is also credited for the development of Impact 3 generation vehicles. Ularik will operate from Tata Motors European Technical Center in London and
Lead teams to the teams present in Turin (Italy), Pune and Coventry (UK). Along with this, he will report to Shailesh Chandra, President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit of Tata Motors.
