Ola also plans to set up a gigafactory for manufacturing cells in the country to meet the demand for its electric two-wheelers. The company has already submitted its bid for advanced chemistry cell battery storage under the PLI scheme of the government.

In the release Bhavish Aggarwal, Founder and CEO, Ola said, “The future of EVs lies in better, faster and higher energy density batteries, capable of fast charging, and providing higher range. We specialize in core cell and battery technology. Increasing our investments and hiring our in-house capabilities and global talent.”
At the same time, Doran Myersdorf, CEO of Storedot, said, “Both companies are committed to creating a zero-emissions world, breathing clean air in our cities and ensuring that EV drivers don’t have to worry about charging times and limits.” Ola Electric plans to bring Storedot’s Xtreme fast-charging battery technology to India.” “We are also presenting our customers with a clear technology roadmap that will extend far into the future of delivering 100 miles of range in just 2 minutes of charge within a decade,” he added.
