Google is working on converting your smartphone to a car key and by next year a well-known car manufacturer can launch this feature.

Although more information is yet to be received from Google about this matter, but the company has given information that it will use Digital Key, Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology. Explain that this is the form of a radio transmission for which a sensor, like a radar, can tell the direction of the signal. This will help the smartphone antenna to identify and locate the equated object from UWB transmitters.
With its help, Android users can lock or unlock their car without taking out the phone. Apart from this, users who have cars equipped with NFC technology will be able to unlock the door by tapping the phone on the door handle of their car. If someone has taken your car to run, then you will be able to share the car key as well. Google has said that the Digital Car Key can be transferred “remotely and securely” to another person.
Will be able to use Digital Car Key with these smartphones
Digital Car Key feature will be very easy to use and it can also replace traditional Car Key. But it will not be accessible for everyone because in the initial stages it will be available in limited high-end devices which include Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy Smartphone etc. Along with this, car companies can also charge a premium to introduce this feature.

According to Google, the specialty of the digital car is part of its effort to put smartphones at the center of consumers’ lives. Its goal cannot be achieved without including cars in it. Google’s VP Engineering Eric Kay wrote in a blog post following the new announcement, “While buying a phone these days, we’re not only buying a phone, but also an ecosystem of devices that work together Expecting – including TVs, laptops, cars and smartwatches or fitness trackers. “
Although it has not been confirmed yet which model will get this technology but BMW has given confirmation of working as a partner. In such a situation, you can expect that by 2022 you will get this feature in some BMW cars.
