Mahindra Defence Systems
The Ministry of Defense has given a special contract to Mahindra Defense Systems i.e. MDS. The Mahindra Defense System is part of Mahindra & Mahindra which manufactures armored tactical vehicles for the Indian Army. These are light strikes ie LSV vehicles which Indian soldiers use for search operation and carrying weapons. These vehicles are specially made for the war zone. That is, if there is a war somewhere and the soldiers have to move in that one area, then these vehicles are very useful.
The Ministry of Defense had bid for the companies to give contracts where the vehicles of many companies were tested in different operating conditions through open tender. In the end MDS LSV surpassed all other companies and passed every test. In the end, the Ministry of Defense gave it the contract. The MDS LSV is the only vehicle that has passed field, ballistics and technical trials.
Currently, the contract given to this company is worth 1056 crores. These vehicles will be made by the next four years i.e. by 2025. The MDS is designed in such a way that it can pass every test of the Indian Army. In this car you get many great features that can help soldiers in times of need. This vehicle is very strong from outside, which also withstand the bullet.
Mahindra Defense System Chairman SP Shuklas said that, this contract clearly shows how successful the self-sufficient India campaign is. This is the first major advance contract for Armored Tactical Vehicles that will be designed and developed by India’s private sector.
MDS LSV is already in the Indian battalion which works for UN Peacekeeping in Africa. At the same time, this vehicle is also used in other countries. In such a situation, these vehicles can be exported in the coming time.
