Now Fortuner and Corolla cars can be bought by giving corn and soybeans, not with money, this company started

Toyota has done such a thing in history which no company has been able to do so far. In such a situation, now the agriculture sector can benefit a lot from this in the coming time.

Toyota has taken out this offer for special customers.

Toyota is going to be the first carmaker in automobile history to replace money for its vehicles with corn and soybeans. Yes, this may sound a bit strange to you, but according to the report of Motor 1, the company is now really going to do this in Brazil. The Japanese auto giant has announced this new and interesting direct sales in the Latin America country.

This scheme is focused on the customers of agriculture sector. For the rest of the customers, Toyota vehicles will be available through conventional sales. Toyota claims that the agribusiness sector currently accounts for 16% of its direct sales in Brazil. This new program is expected to help it grow further.

The scheme, named ‘Toyota Barter’, will allow customers to pay for corn and soybeans in exchange for a new vehicle. Customers will have to pay the cost of the vehicle according to the weight of corn or soybean. The cost of maize or soybean should be the same as the cost of the vehicle. Toyota models like Hilux pickup truck, Corolla Cross SUV or SW4 SV can be bought under this plan. The SW4 is basically the Toyota Fortuner available in India.

However, there is a twist here and that is, Toyota will check the rural production certificates of the customers here. At the same time, the company will also keep an eye on whether the quality of agricultural products is good or not. Toyota Barter is not a completely new program of the Japanese car brand.

Let us tell you that, it was first introduced back in 2019 as a pilot project. Now, the carmaker has made this unique selling method official. Currently, this program is available in select Brazilian states. These include – Bahia, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Piauí and Tocantins. The automaker is planning to expand the service across the country.
