New Tata Tiago NRG to be launched on 4th August 2021
After introducing the Dark Edition model, Tata Motors is now gearing up for another launch and this time the Tata Tiago NRG facelift is to be launched. Tata Motors is bringing back the more robust, crossover-ish variant of the Tiago hatchback after almost two years. It will come with many updates and new features. Ahead of the official launch of the car, we are telling you about the Tata Tiago NRG facelift.
Tata Tiago NRG will be launched on August 4, 2021 and will be the third new model to be launched by the company this year after Altroz iTurbo and Safari. The updated Tata Tiago NRG is expected to borrow features from the existing Tiago facelift that was launched in early 2020. However, it will come with more luxurious styling, which will include beefy sides, underbody cladding, new alloy wheels and NRG badging.
The latest teaser images posted by the company have revealed that the new 2021 model will also get the dual-tone treatment with blacked-out roof and black ORVMs. The car is also seen in a new green color option. Earlier leaked images of the Tiago NRG were seen with black pseudo-roof rails, black cladding all around, black door handles and new dual-tone 5-spoke alloy wheels. The rear of the car looked similar to the updated BS6 Tiago hatchback.

What will be special in the new Tata Tiago
Talking about the features, it is likely to get a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto like the regular Tiago. Rest of the offerings are likely to include a flat-bottom steering wheel, rear parking camera, cooled glovebox, digital instrument cluster and auto-folding electric ORVMs.
The Tata Tiago facelift has received a 4-star safety rating from the Global NCAP. Since the changes made to the Tiago NRG will essentially be cosmetic, the car is expected to come with the old safety standards. Safety features will include dual airbags, ABS with EBS rear parking sensors, seatbelt reminder and follow me headlamps.
Tata Tiago comes with a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine that generates 85 bhp power and 113 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT).
