Tata Motors is about to launch the new Tata Safari on 26 January. Its production has started at the company’s Pune plant and recently Tata Motors showed its first glimpse. The company held a flag of ceremonies at its Pune plant to introduce the first unit of Safari. At the Auto Expo 2020, Tata Safari was showcased with the Gravitas code name.

Engine, Power and Transmission
Tata Safari is a 7 seater version of the Harrier. It is confirmed that the 2021 Tata Safari will get the same engine and transmission as the Harrier. This means that the new Safari will have a 2.0 liter, 4 cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine. It produces 170hp power and 350Nm torque. Also, a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission can be found. The new Tata Safari will not have all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. The engine will only drive the front wheels. Tata Motors has also confirmed that the new Safari will not have a petrol engine at the time of launching. It can be said that the company later provides petrol engine options.
Features
It is clear from the exterior pictures that the 2021 Tata Safari will feature panoramic sunroof, bi-xenon projector headlamps, 18 inch alloy wheels. Pictures of the interior of the Tata Safari have not been revealed yet. Therefore, certainly cannot be said about the interior features. But it is expected that the SUV will have a floating 10 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Harman music system, which will support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
