The MG Hector was promoted as the country’s first Internet SUV and has also managed to attract customers. MG Hector has crossed the sales figure of 25,000 units since its launch in India.
MG Hector has crossed bookings of 50,000 cars since launch. MG Motor India is in the process of increasing production capacity at its plant in Halol to meet the growth in demand for Hector. The company is hiring more employees to increase production at the plant.

MG Hector competes the Tata Harrier and Mahindra XUV500 in terms of price in the Indian market, but this new SUV has outpaced both the competitors and comes in at number one in its segment. Many engine options also affect sales.
The MG Hector is available in a total of two engine options, including a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine and a 2.0-liter diesel engine. This petrol engine provides 143 Bhp of power and 250 Newton meter of torque, while its diesel engine provides 173 Bhp of power and 350 Newton meter of torque.

This car has a choice of 48 volt mild hybrid variant with petrol engine. All its engines have a 6 speed manual gearbox as standard, while the hybrid has a choice of DCT gearbox.
MG Hector is available in four variant styles, Super, Smart and Sharp. It has a 10.4 inch infotainment system, 3.5 inch MID display, panoramic sunroof, tilt and telescopic steering, premium infinity sound system etc.

It is said that the company has made zero sales in the month of April but the sales of Hector are gradually increasing, 672 units of this SUV have been sold in May, 1,867 units in June. In the month of July, 2023 units of this SUV have been sold.
