MG Gloster Unveil: Automatic parking assist equipped with adaptive cruise control, 2.0L twin turbo charged diesel engine

India’s first autonomous (Level 1) premium SUV, the MG Gloster, has gone unopened. The vehicle was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 in February. The Gloster will compete with the Ford Endeavor and Toyota Fortuner. MG Gloster has many such segment-first features, which are usually in high-end cars like Volvo and BMW. Bookings for MG Glouster have started today. It can be booked at MG dealerships or online at a booking amount of Rs 1 lakh. The Gloster is the tallest premium SUV. It is 5 meters long, 1.9 meters tall and 19 inches alloy wheels.

MG Gloster Engine specifications

The MG Gloster has a 2 liter twin-turbocharged diesel engine. It will be available for the first time in the premium SUV segment. This engine generates a torque of 480 Nm and power of 218 PS. It also has 8-speed automatic transmission. The car has 7 driving modes – Auto, Rock, Sand, Mud, Snow, Sport, Eco.

Gloster is equipped with an advanced driver assistance system. It will come with advanced computer vision technology, conventional AI, touch sensors feature. The Gloster is also equipped with premium off-roading capabilities. It will come with on-demand four-wheel drive. Other features include a three-zone climate control system. Adaptive Cruise Control

In this feature, the Gloster gives warning through a beep to prevent any other vehicle from reaching the position of collision. If the driver does not take any action despite the alert, then the automatic emergency braking of the Gloster becomes active automatically. That means the brakes will be automatically installed. This feature will also work in the event that the vehicle in front suddenly brakes.

Lane Departure Warning

If the Gloster is being driven at a speed of 60 KMPH or more and the driver moves the car out of its lane to the right or left, then the lane departure warning feature of the car will alert him to get back into the lane So that safe driving can be done.
