Mahindra & Mahindra may soon introduce a new avatar of Mahindra Bolero in India. The company may soon introduce its sport utility vehicle (SUV) Mahindra Bolero Nio. This new avatar of Bolero will be based on the company’s current model TUV300 car and it can be introduced in the market soon.
If sources are to be believed, the company has made many changes in this SUV. The company has made many changes in the front of the new Bolero Neo as compared to the existing TUV300. For this, it has been re-filed highlights, an updated grille, new front bumpers and LED DRLs. The new Bolero Neo also gets some classic Bolero designs like the clam-shell bonnet etc. Along with this, not much change has been done in the side and rear look apart from some minor alterations.
2021 Mahindra Bolero Neo Engine
Talking about the engine of Mahindra Bolero Neo, it can be given a BS6 compliant 1.5 liter three-cylinder engine like the TUV300. This engine will generate 100hp power and 240Nm torque. Along with this, a 5-speed manual gearbox will be available in this engine. Apart from this, the fuel-saving, engine start-stop feature can be given in this SUV, which was earlier offered in the TUV300.
2021 Mahindra Bolero Neo Price
Talking about the pricing of this SUV, the 2021 Mahindra Bolero Neo may cost a bit more than the standard model. The price of this SUV can be between 9 to 12 lakh rupees (ex-showroom). Through Neo, the company is trying to woo those customers who want more comfort than the regular Bolero. Along with this, Mahindra is also thinking that the new ‘Bolero’ nameplate of the Neo will help the customers to show more interest in this compact SUV segment.
Mahindra to launch 12 new vehicles
Talking about the future plans of Indian automaker Mahindra, the company is going to launch 12 new models in the next 5 years, including Bolero Neo. Upcoming models include the all-new XUV700, next-gen 5-seater XUV500, XUV900 SUV-coupe, 5-door version of Thar, replacement of Marazzo and KUV100 and all-new Bolera. Along with this, the company is also increasing its focus on electric cars.
