According to a report by Autocar India, Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the Nexon EV 2022, which will be equipped with a bigger battery pack than the current model. Let us tell you, this very popular electric car from Tata comes equipped with a battery pack of 30 kWh capacity, which has a certified range of 312 km. The report claims that the new model will include a 40 kWh capacity battery pack and is expected to have a single charge range of 400 kms.
The report further says that due to the larger battery pack, the new model may get less boot space and the car will also weigh about 100 kg more. In addition, the new Nexon EV model is said to get a new Re-Gen mode, in which the driver can manually adjust the regenerative braking intensity. This will improve the range. The regen is not adjustable in the current model and it is quite lightweight.
Not only this, the report also talked about cosmetic changes. The new model may come with new alloy wheels. Electronic Stability Program (ESP) can also be added to this. The estimated price of the new model could be Rs 3-4 lakh more than the current model. If this report is to be believed, then the price of the new model will be around Rs 17-18 lakh, which will still be a good mid-range option considering the price-to-range ratio in the market. <!–
