New Delhi: Triumph Motorcycles India has announced the launch of the new Street Twin EC1 Special Edition at an ex-showroom price of Rs 8.85 lakh. The EC1 will only be available for one year, with the EC1 Special Edition custom-inspired from the street twin.
Features of Triumph Street Twin EC1
The Street Twin EC1 gets matte aluminum silver and matte silver ice fuel tanks with hand-painted silver coach linings, graphics and Triumph badges on the new EC1. The side panels get a matte silver ice finish while the mudguards get a matte aluminum silver color. The motorcycle also gets black 10-spoke wheels, a black headlamp cowl, black-finished mirrors and black signature-shaped engine cover. Matte Silver Ice Fly Screen is also available as an option.

Changes in the Street Twin EC1 are limited to styling upgrades. On the other hand, the mechanical specifications remain the same as the standard motorcycle. Thus, the Street Twin EC1 uses a BS6-compliant, 900CC, twin-cylinder engine that produces 64.1bhp of power at 7,500rpm and 80Nm of peak torque at 3,800rpm. The motor is mated to a five-speed gearbox.
Hardware on the motorcycle, similar to the standard Street Twin, includes 41mm cartridge front forks, preload-adjustable twin rear shocks, single discs on both the wheels and Pirelli Phantom SportsComp tyres. Electronic rider aids include ABS, switchable traction control and two riding modes (rain and road).
