Tata Motors has launched a new affordable variant for the customers in view of the chip shortage. But you do not get a feature in this. However, you can get it installed at a lower price than the market.
So far many people have shown confidence in this variant of Tiago.
Tata Motors recently launched a new XT (O) variant of its entry-level hatchback Tiago which is essentially a scaled down unit of the XT trim. The new XT (O) variant is priced at Rs 5.49 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs 15,000 more affordable than its premium option while Rs 49,000 more expensive than the base variant. The difference between XT and XT (O) is that in the earlier one, the company had installed a 2 din stereo system which is missing in the new one.
The company has launched this new and low-featured variant so that customers do not feel any problem with chip shortage and they also get a new vehicle. In this variant, the company is offering the option of speaker and wiring harness so that customers can get their infotainment solution installed if they want aftermarket. Apart from this, Tata Motors is also offering a new in-built Android-based touchscreen infotainment unit as an optional accessory.
This infotainment head unit supports all the applications offered in Android smartphones like Google Maps, Google Assist with voice commands etc. It costs around Rs 24,000 with an additional cost of Rs 1,000. The best part about this is that there is no extra money to be paid for connecting the speaker and wiring. Because there is already setup with this variant. Also, this infotainment unit is also equipped with a reverse parking camera.
Features and Specs
Tata Motors is also offering a separate infotainment head unit like the 9.0-inch touchscreen display from Blaupunkt and Crosslink as official accessories. Other features offered on the Tiago XT (O) trim include 14-inch steel rims with wheel caps, manual air conditioner, steering mounted controls, electrically adjustable ORVMs, adjustable steering, all four power windows and more.
