Mahindra & Mahindra Limited (M&M) will pay a lump sum of double the salary and annual income to the dependents under the Family Assistance Program on the death of one of its employees from COVID-19. Mahindra Group Managing Director and CEO Aneesh Shah gave this information in a letter to his employees.
2 lakh rupees for the education of children every year
M&M has introduced a family support policy for its employees, under which the company will provide up to two lakh rupees per child per year up to class 12 for the education of children on the death of one of its employees.
In a letter addressed to 25,000 employees of M&M, Shah said, “We are here to help distribute and reduce the burden of families suffering from the COVID-19 outbreak.” Some families have faced the sudden demise of their loved one and have to bear the unexpected responsibility of running the house. We want you to know that you are not alone, and we are standing here to help you. ”
Warranty period of vehicles also extended
Along with this, Mahindra & Mahindra has extended its warranty period in view of the lockdown caused by COVID-19. According to the statement issued by the company, the vehicles whose warranty period was ending between April 1 and May 31 have been extended till July 31. The extension and schedule maintenance or free service of the warranty period will be offered on all Mahindra vehicles including Thar SUV, Bolero, Scorpio, XUV300 etc.
Let us tell you that in view of the corona epidemic, Mahindra is constantly coming forward for help. The company has recently started ‘Oxygen on Wheel’ service in which it is delivering oxygen from Bolero pick-up to the hospital and other needy.
