All auto companies are coming forward to help the government to fight the Corona epidemic across the country. These auto companies are helping the central government as well as the state governments. In this series, the country’s well-known automobile manufacturer Hyundai Motor India has donated Rs 10 crore help to the Government of Tamil Nadu. The company has done this by its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) unit. This help is given in the form of cash and medical equipment.
The company said that it has donated Rs 5 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund under the Hyundai Cares 3.0 COVID-19 Relief Initiative to strengthen the campaign against the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. The company has also given medical equipment worth Rs five crore to the state, including high-flow oxygen machines, BIPAP machines, oxygen concentrators and setting up oxygen plants. The company said that oxygen plants would be set up in government hospitals in Tondiarpet and Tambaram.
Let us know that Hyundai Motor India’s partnership with Tamil Nadu started when it stabilized its first manufacturing plant near Chennai in 1990. The plant has always been at the top as well as becoming a major hub for the company’s exports. Due to the deteriorating conditions due to COVID-19, its work has been interrupted and this Korean car company has had to focus elsewhere.
Hyundai Motor India Managing Director and CEO SS Kim said, “Hyundai has always stood with the Government of Tamil Nadu. Today, when the state is fighting strongly against the epidemic like COVID-19, we have once again come forward to help the state so that it can come out of this bad situation. This contribution is our expression of standing in solidarity with the people of the state which has been the home of Hyundai in India for the last two decades.
