Sales increase after the launch of Alcazar

The market share of SUVs in the domestic passenger vehicle market is increasing with each passing month. The share of SUVs was over 37 per cent in July. In the January-July period, it was about 36 percent.

Garg said that the sales of the company’s SUV models in the domestic market are increasing continuously. Sales have increased further after the company’s new SUV model Alcazar. He said, “The way things are going, it shows that the demand for private vehicles is increasing. After the second wave of COVID-19, there has been a huge increase in demand.

Demand is also coming from rural areas

Tarun Garg said that at this time, apart from the city, the demand from rural areas is also increasing. After the first wave, the demand was mainly coming from rural areas. He said that the company’s sales have increased because of Alcazar, which was introduced in June. The sales of the company’s Creta model have not been affected due to Alcazar. Last year we sold 8,000 units of Creta every month. The total sales of SUV models during this period stood at 15,000 units.

Huge increase in sales of Creta

Garg said that in the first quarter of this year, the monthly sales figure of Creta has reached 12,500 units. The total sales of the SUV has been 23,800 units. In July, the total sales of the SUV crossed 24,000 units. He told that last month the sales of Creta stood at 13,000 units. During this time the company sold 3,000 units of Alcazar.
