As part of the Hyundai Cares 3.0 relief initiative, it has been announced to help the affected states of Maharashtra, Delhi, Haryana, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.

Hyundai India has become the latest vehicle manufacturer to be involved in the fight against COVID-19. In view of the sudden surge in COVID-19 cases in the country, Hyundai India has announced a relief package of Rs 20 crore, which will be donated through its Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF).
As a part of the Hyundai Cares 3.0 relief initiative, the South Korean vehicle manufacturer has announced several measures to provide infrastructure support to the affected states of Maharashtra, Delhi, Haryana, Telangana and Tamil Nadu. Under this relief program, the automaker will deploy its resources by setting up oxygen-generating plants in hospitals, which will help provide assistance to critical patients. It will also help hospitals to become self-sufficient in oxygen.
Hyundai will also provide Medicare facilities
Hyundai will also set up Medicare facilities and provide support staff in various hospitals and meet their operational costs for the next three months. It will also develop its mobile medical units and telemedicine clinics in rural areas to break the COVID-19 series.
Commenting on the relief measures, Hyundai Motor India Limited MD and CEO, SS Kim said, “The second wave of this COVID-19 pandemic has created an unprecedented crisis for the nation. In times of despair, we often live in the midst of hope. Anarchy, but it also happens many times, brings the best of humanity with all of us. To provide meaningful assistance to the most affected cities and states, Hyundai has redesigned its resources and channeled efforts that will provide relief in this difficult situation. We are organizing resources on a war footing and hope to help end this crisis. “
The company is assessing a number of options to ensure that the most affected cities are provided the needed assistance as per the need of the hour and to speed up the deployment of these resources. In addition, Hyundai had organized a vaccination campaign for its employees over 45 years of age in a manufacturing facility through the office of Sriperumbudur Government Primary Health Center.
