The Hyundai Alcazar is taking the company to the top
Hyundai Motor India on Sunday informed that it has sold a total of 48,042 units of its passenger vehicles in the country in the month of July. The recently launched Alcazar has received a strong response from the customers, while the sales figures of Creta have seen a year-on-year growth of 25.8 percent. Hyundai Alcazar was launched in India on 18th June, since then till now the vehicle is being well liked by the customers. This is the company’s first three row SUV in the country.
The Hyundai Alcazar has managed to garner 11,000 bookings within a month since its launch, with the diesel motor being highly preferred. On the other end is the Creta SUV which has maintained its dominance not only in its segment but also in the Hyundai India product portfolio. The sales figure of Hyundai last month was Rs 38,200, where the company has finally crossed it this month.
Overall, Hyundai registered a year-on-year growth of 45.9% between July last year and last month as the export numbers are slowly returning to normal after the Corona pandemic. The Korean carmaker exported 3,100 to 12,207 units in July of 2020 from its plant in Chennai last month. It is important to note here that whether domestic sales or exports, the year-on-year comparison is for reference as Indian only. Market conditions were and will continue to be determined by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Let us tell you that Hyundai is very happy with its present recovery, the company has considered this as a good sign. Hyundai has a total of 11 products in its garage which are currently being sold in India. This includes the Santro, Grand i10 on one side and Venue, Verna, Creta, Alcazar and Tucson on the other.
