Hindustan Motors, the automotive subsidiary of CK Birla Group has introduced that the corporate has signed a deal to promote its marque ‘Contessa’ to SG Corporate Mobility for an undisclosed quantity.
The model switch will embody the logos having the appliance numbers of the Contessa model together with different associated rights. The deal shall be efficient subsequent to the success of the phrases and circumstances acknowledged within the settlement.
Contessa graced the Indian roads between 1984 and 2002. The premium sedan was phased out with the arrival of rivals like Hyundai, Ford, Maruti Suzuki and others within the Indian market. At the time of its launch, the automotive was one of many few luxurious vehicles manufactured in India, alongside its brand-twin, the Ambassador.
The iconic automotive got here with a 1.5-litre Carburetted, inline, naturally aspirated (BMC B-Series) engine that might generate 50 PS and a most torque of 100 Nm.
