The company will also convert its dealer centers into experience centers and studios. There will be trained employees, who will explain the benefits of electric vehicles to the people and remove the concerns related to it. Preparations are being made to provide training to dealers and also to sales people.
Commenting on the announcement, Raj Mehta, Founder and Managing Director, Greta Electric Scooters said, “We are all set to change the two wheeler landscape. Our intention is to reach as many people as possible. We envision the Greta electric scooter to be available in every nook and corner of the country. We want to expand dealerships in cities where scooters are the main mode of transport. We are confident that we will change the way people transport everyday.
Greta is part of Raj Electromotives, which specializes in electric conversion of pedal-powered cycles, rickshaws, tricycles and bikes. The company received approval for its electric scooter from the International Center for Automotive Technology (ICAT) in 2019.
The four scooters that the company launched in the past include Harper, Harper ZX, Evespa and Glide. Each of them has a different body style. The company has launched these scooters in very unique color options. Among the electric scooters launched, the Harper and Harper ZX sport a sporty look with a front apron, sharp body panels and sleek turn signals. To differentiate between the two, the Harper gets a dual headlamp unit, while the Harper ZX gets a single headlamp. The special thing about these scooters is that the back seater will feel comfortable, as they have a backrest.
Greta Electric claims that these scooters offer a riding range of up to 100 kms on a single charge. The e-scooters are equipped with 48-volt/60-volt lithium-ion batteries. The company has also given the option of choosing a specific battery pack for these e-scooters. These e-scooters get fully charged in about four hours.
