Toyota is the most valuable car company in 2021 with $59.47 billion. This carmaker has even surpassed Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen and BMW. Toyota has overtaken luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz to become the world’s most valuable automobile brand in 2021. The Japanese manufacturer’s brand value rose 2 percent to $59.47 billion as against 58.07 billion in the previous calendar year.
It is obvious that due to the global health crisis, there has been a huge decline in the sales of passenger cars in the luxury space. Due to this, the brand value of Mercedes-Benz declined by about $ 7 billion to $58.2 billion, as against $65.04 billion in 2020. Toyota managed to make a strong comeback in recent times and the impact on its volume numbers was not that severe. In addition, it has been helped by improvements in volumes, especially in markets such as China, where net profit increased by 50 per cent in the third quarter.
Volkswagen is at the third position as it was valued at $47.02 billion in 2021 as compared to $44.89 billion during the previous term. BMW has slipped to the fourth position with a valuation of $40.44 billion in 2020 against $40.48 billion. Its partner German brand Porsche is behind BMW, as it is valued at $34.32 billion against $33.91 billion in 2021.

Electric vehicle maker, Tesla, is ranked sixth in the list of top 10 most valuable car brands. The US company is valued at $ 31.98 billion in 2021.
Japanese manufacturer Honda is ranked seventh, with a brand value of $31.36 billion in 2021, compared to $33.10 billion last year. Ford Motor Company is in eighth place this year with $22.67 billion. Compared to 2020, Ford only recorded a profit of over $4 billion. Volvo is occupied with $17.75 billion as against $16.91 billion, while Audi is at the end of the top 10 with $17.18 billion.
