Force Motors has announced on its social media platforms that it is preparing to launch the new BS6 compliant new generation Force Gurkha. The launch of the SUV is expected from last year 2020, when it was first publicly unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo. But due to circumstances, the launch got delayed. The Indian auto company has confirmed that the new BS6 Gurkha is coming soon. Responding to a comment on its official post, Force Motors has confirmed that the new Gurkha is expected to arrive in the next quarter. This means that the vehicle will hit the market before the end of September 2021.
Possible Specifications
The new car will also get some changes which will include a new grille, optional LED hand pump and a new front bumper. Coming to the wheels, the 245/70 is offering a set of R16 in it. The vehicle will also get a new touchscreen infotainment system. The driver will get a new 3-spoke steering wheel. It also gets front power windows, circular air vents. The safety level has also been increased in the car. It will have features according to the new safety rules in India. Also, it will get dual airbags, ABS with EBD and parking sensors.
The car will have a 2.6-litre turbocharged diesel engine, which will be as per BS6 emission standard. It will deliver 90hp power and 260Nm torque. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission with a low-range transfer case.

This new car is expected to be launched before September 2021. However, its launch was earlier planned for July 2020. It will compete with the new Mahindra Thar and Isuzu V-Cross in the market. Its price is expected to be Rs 10-15 lakh (ex-showroom).
