The OLA Electric Scooter is expected to have a range of 100-150 km.
Ola Electric has created a one-of-a-kind record by receiving over 1 lakh reservations for its first electric scooter in less than 24 hours from the start of pre-bookings. Interested customers can book a scooter for Rs 499 by logging on to the company’s website. Booking amount is fully refundable. With the bookings open, we anticipate that the scooter is likely to be launched in the coming weeks, perhaps this month itself.
Surprisingly, between January and June 2021, the total sales of electric two-wheelers in India stood at 30,000 units. The company says that it is getting tremendous demand for the Ola electric scooter. Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman and Group CEO, Ola said, “I am thrilled with the overwhelming response from customers across India for our first electric vehicle. The high demand is a clear indication of shifting of customer preferences to EVs. This is a big step forward for our mission to transform the world into sustainable mobility. I thank all the customers who have booked Ola scooters and joined the EV revolution. This is only the beginning!”
