Prevail electric mobility
Privel Electric Mobility, a branch of French lubricants major FRVelion, has announced the setting up of an additional manufacturing unit for electric two-wheelers in India. Its main objective is to meet the demand of Nepal and Sri Lanka markets apart from India through this manufacturing plant.
The company is going to launch its first product in India this month and is planning to set up its first manufacturing unit at Behrampur near Gurugram, Haryana. Apart from this, Privel Electric already has a plant in Neemrana, Rajasthan. The company has invested a total of about Rs 50 crore in both the plants.
Plan to make 50 thousand vehicles every year

Initially, the company had planned to introduce its electric two-wheeler only in India. He said that the company has tied up with partners there for the sale of its products in Nepal and Sri Lanka.
Sales target of 12,000 units in India
He said that now our target is to sell 10,000 to 12,000 units annually in India. Apart from this, we are targeting to sell 5,000 units in Sri Lanka and 3,000 units in Nepal. Privel Mobility is preparing to launch three electric scooters in India which include Elite, Finesse and Wolfuri. These scooters will run 110 km on a single charge.
Operation started in India in 2019
Prevel Electric Mobility started its operations in India in 2019 and is now using its parent company FRVelion to expand its footprint in the country. The company is going to start this with the opening of its flagship stores in Delhi and Mumbai.
Bhatt said, “We already have links across India as the parent company is in lubricants. So we already have a hold in this segment for the last three years.” He added that the company already has a dealer network, this current financial year plans to set up 50 flagship stores in India. After that we will create a sub-dealership market.
He said that at present the company imports lithium-ion and lithium-phosphorus batteries from Taiwan and if its two-wheelers find strength in the market, it will consider setting up a battery unit here as well.
