The two-wheeler maker released the teaser of the 2021 Ducati XDiavel 1260 Black Star Edition a few days before the launch in India.
This bike can be launched at any time today
A few days after launching the Multisrada V4, Ducati India is gearing up for another series of launches. The two-wheeler manufacturer has now announced the launch date of the 2021 XDiavel motorcycle, which is all set to hit the Indian roads today i.e. on August 12. Ducati can launch the bike in two variants. It is likely to bring the Dark and Black Star editions of the XDiavel range of motorcycles to the Indian customers. Ducati currently offers the Diavel 1260 and Diavel 1260S in the Indian markets.
Ducati India has teased the dark edition of the 2021 XDiavel bike on its social media. The two-wheeler manufacturer had teased the 2021 Ducati XDiavel 1260 Black Star Edition a few days back as well. The XDiavel Dark, which is the base variant of the model, gets a matte black finish, Brembo brake calipers, hexagonal LED headlamps with inverted U-shaped LED DRLs, a set of handlebars and a 3.5-inch TFT screen apart from a single-piece saddle . Apart from this, two riding modes, cornering ABS, Ducati traction control system and cruise control will also be given in the vehicle.
The XDiavel 1260 is the top-spec variant of the Black Star model. It gets machined alloy wheels which are 2 kg lighter. It also gets a suede seat cover, forged and anodized frame plates, matte black aluminum belt cover, billet aluminum rearview mirrors and blacked-out finish on the engine with smartphone connectivity.
Both the Dark and Black Star Edition XDiavel will be powered by a 1262 twin-cylinder DVT motor that will be capable of producing 158bhp and 127.4Nm of peak torque. The engine is likely to be mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The XDiavel 1260 Black Star Edition was introduced in November last year for the global markets. The motorcycle is likely to be priced at Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom) in India and will rival the likes of the Triumph Rocket 3R when launched. However, Ducati may bring a limited number of Black Star Edition motorcycles to India.
