The operating cost of an electric two-wheeler is much lower than the petrol scooter, bike. According to the Delhi government, an e-bike driver can save an annual savings of Rs 22 thousand compared to a petrol scooter and Rs 20 thousand compared to a petrol bike. The government believes that the electric two-wheeler saves 1.98 tonnes of carbon emissions in its life on an average compared to petrol two-wheelers. This is equivalent to planting 11 trees. The last eighth week of the Switch Delhi EV awareness campaign will be focused on the youth of Delhi. The objective of this campaign is to inspire the youth of Delhi to buy electric vehicles.
