Car company Renault is going to unveil the production version of its Kiger car on January 28 in India. The concept of Renault Kiger was brought to the world for the first time in November 2020. Kiger is developed jointly by the corporate design teams of France and India. The vehicle will be based on the CMFA + platform, which is used in the Triber.
Renault Kiger will be the third global car of the group Renault, which will be first launched in India. After that it will be introduced in other countries. Renault Kiger will be the company’s B-SUV. Kiger will compete in the Indian market with Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Mahindra XUV 300, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue and Ford EcoSport.
Potential Exterior Features
Renault India says that the production model of Kiger will be similar to the 80 percent concept model. So when we talk about the concept model that was unveiled in November, he has a bold look. The front grille features the signature grille of the Renault SUV, which is integrated with eyebrows-like LED DRLs. Under the split headlamp design of Kiger, more LEDs have been used in the main headlamp cluster. The main headlamp cluster is down on the front bumper. The ground clearance of Renault Kiger is expected to be 200mm.
The tail lamps in the rear have an LED signature look with C shape. The Renault Kiger Concept has 19 inch alloy wheels and a centrally mounted rear exhaust. The Kiger will have a floating roof design. That is, it is clear that Renault’s intention is to give a dual tone color scheme in Kiger.
Possible interior features
Renault says that Kiger will be smart and equipped with the best features in its category. It is expected that the car can get 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver instrument cluster, wireless charging, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Internet-enabled features etc. However, it is not yet revealed how the car will be from the inside.

Engine specifications
Renault has confirmed that Kiger’s engine will be from its global powertrain line. This means that the Kiger can get HRAO 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine, which will produce 99 bhp power and 160 Nm torque. The same engine is also in the new Nissan Magnite. CVT Auto transmission option can also be found in the Kiger.
