For some time, it was being speculated that BMW would soon introduce its electric car to make a splash in the Indian electric vehicle market. Now, the company has announced that the BMW iX electric SUV will be introduced in India on 13th December. After the launch of the iX, the company is planning to launch two more electric cars in India in the coming few months.
As we mentioned, it has two variants and both come equipped with a powerful powertrain. Of both the variants, the base XDrive 40 gets a battery pack of 71kWh capacity, thanks to which the car is capable of delivering a range of 435 km (WLTP). On the other hand, the XDrive 50 model comes with a bigger 105kWh battery pack and can offer a maximum range of 630 kms. This car supports fast-charging up to a maximum capacity of 200W, in which its battery pack can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in just 40 minutes. Both the models take 6.1 seconds and 4.6 seconds respectively to reach 0-100 kmph.
This upcoming EV from BMW (upcoming electric cars in India) gets a hexagonal shaped steering wheel. The main attraction is its dual-display setup, consisting of a 12.3-inch digital driver display and a 14.9-inch touchscreen system. This includes 4D audio, 5G mobile connectivity and a spacious sunroof. The electric car comes equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) which includes Lane Keep Assist, Front Collision Warning and Remote-Theft Recorder.<!–
