Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said on Thursday that, India’s infrastructure is going to become like America and Europe in the next 5 years. We have prepared a strong foundation for the creation of a new India, in which we have started a project of 17 lakh crore rupees in the last 5 years. Gadkari further said that development of backward areas, North East and border areas is still the biggest goal of the government.
At the Times Network India Economic Conclave, Gadkari said, I promise you that the entire infrastructure of India will change in the next 5 years and it will be like the US and Europe. He said that the Green Expressway Corridor has been fully networked which includes 1 lakh crore Delhi Mumbai Expressway and 30 km Dwarka Expressway.
All these cost 10,000 crores and it will be an amazing piece of engineering which will make Delhi border look like Singapore. He further said that 90 percent of the construction of border roads has been completed. In these places, work is being done in Australia Tunnel model manner where the temperature is 8 degrees.
Gadkari said that the work of Kailash Mansarovar Project is also being done at a rapid pace, which will reduce the journey of devotees who visit Kailash Mansarovar in the coming days. At the same time work is going on on the Char Dham project. That is, now one can travel in any season in Gangotri, Badrinath and Kedarnath. The total expenditure on this is 12000 crores rupees.
Nitin Gadkari further said that, his focus is on world class infrastructure where 35 km of road is being constructed every day and it is running continuously for 358 days. If we keep going at the same pace, then in the coming time it will reach 40 km construction every day from 35.
