Bajaj Pulsar NS200 has created a new national record. This record is for the fastest quarter-mile wheelie in India. As claimed by Bajaj Auto, road tester Hrishikesh Mendke set this record on the saddle. The record was set in the presence of a senior representative of the Motor Sports Club Federation of India (FMSCI) and a subsidiary of the India Book of Records. The Bajaj Pulsar NS200 completed the wheelie in 23.68 seconds.
Wheelie was attempted on the airport runway, which was blocked for the record. Bajaj Auto also claims that all the required safety protocols were set by some of the best and most experienced automotive journalists and road testers in the country.
Showroom stock used for stunts
As claimed by Bajaj Auto, the particular Bajaj Pulsar NS200 model used was in original showroom stock condition and a special exemption was requested from Steward to remove the number plate. At the same time, the rear mudguards were removed to avoid the tremac.
Commenting on the successful performance of the Wheelie and setting the record with the Pulsar NS200, Hrishikesh Mendke said that he had learned to do stunts on the first generation Bajaj Pulsar where he is now delighted to enter the Wheelie in the record book with the NS200 is.
