The Renault Triber MPV’s excellent performance in the Global NCAP test has once again made the list of the safest car in India reshuffled. According to the new list, not a single car of Maruti Suzuki is included in the list of 10 safest cars. The list now includes four cars from Tata Motors and three from Mahindra & Mahindra. Mahindra XUV300- This car tops the list of 10 safest cars and has been awarded ‘Safer Choice’ for its excellent performance in the Global NCAP test. It has got 5 stars in occupant protection and 4 stars in child protection.
Tata Altroz- This popular premium hatchback from Tata Motors has got 5 5-star ratings in the Global NCAP crash test. The global agency said that Altroz has a stable structure and footwell area. Along with this, it also gets excellent head and neck protection and chest protection for both adults at the front.
Tata Nexon- This SUV has got 4 stars in the Global NCAP crash test. It has got 4 stars for adult occupants protection and three stars for child occupants protection.
Mahindra Thar- This popular off-roader SUV made it to the list last year and got a 4-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test in November.
Tata Tigor- This car has got four stars for adult occupant protection and three stars for child occupant protection.
Tata Tiago- This car also got four stars in adult occupant protection and three stars in child occupant protection. Both the Tata Tiago and Tigor cars offer two airbags.
Volkswagen Polo- The German company’s most popular hatchback car was included in the Global NCAP crash test in 2014. This car is at the seventh position and according to the information given by the agency, this car is not that safe for the front occupant. Tests revealed that the front passenger remains at risk due to the dangerous structure of the dashboard.
Renault Triber- This MPV included in this list has achieved a 4-star rating in the Global NCAP crash test. The vehicle is quite safe for the adult occupant and the driver. However, this car is not that much better in terms of child safety. If you look at this, then Triber is the safest MPV to run on Indian roads.
Mahindra Marazzo- Marazzo is the second safest MPV in India after the Triber. It went for the Global NCAP test in 2018 and in this test it was said that it provides excellent protection to the head and neck of the MPV driver and passenger. Along with this, it has been given forward facing seatbelt and ISOFIX for child occupant.
Toyota Etios- The company introduced this car in India 10 years ago and it went for the Global NCAP test in 2016 in which it gave decent performance.
