MG Motor India reported a retail sale of 5,528 units in March, which is the highest monthly sale with strong demand. The company sold 1,518 units in March last year, when SAIL was affected by the lockdown caused by COVID-19. In March this year, the company said that it sold the most during its SUV Hector and ZS EV. MG Motor India said in a statement, with constant speed, the car manufacturer now has a waiting period of 2-3 months for most models.
Commenting on SAIL’s performance, MG Motor India sales director Rakesh Sidana said, “The Highest Monthly Sale recorded in March 2021 is very encouraging with the ongoing speed for our product lines.” He said that Hector received more than 6,000 bookings during the month, with the premium SUV Glaister continuing its progress in the premium SUV segment.
Hyundai sells 64,621 units
Hyundai Motor India said on Thursday that it sold a total of 64,621 units in March. The automaker dispatched 32,279 units in the same month last year. Last month, the company’s domestic sales were 52,600 units. In March 2020, 26,300 units were dispatched due to disturbances in sales and production activities. Last month, exports were 12,021 units. The company shipped 5,979 units in March 2020.
Tarun Garg, director (sales, marketing and service), Hyundai Motor India, said in a statement, “With sales of 64,621 units in March 2021, the company has further accelerated the sales momentum achieved in the last few months. This performance has been supported by our super artists such as – Creta, Venue, Verna, All-New i20, NIOS and more. “
Toyota Kirloskar Motor sold 15,001 vehicles
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has sold a total of 15,001 units in March. After 2013, the highest domestic sales have been recorded in the month of March. The automaker sold 7,023 units in March 2020 amid a nationwide lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In February this year, the company reported figures of 14,075 units.
TKM senior voice president Naveen Soni said in a statement, “The company’s cell performance in the previous quarter proved to be better than the sales in the festive season of the third quarter (October – December 2021).” We are registering a 7 percent increase in domestic sales in March 2021 as compared to the sale in February 2021. ”
Eicher Motors sells 7,037 units
Eicher Motors sold a total of 7,037 units for its Assistant Subsidiary VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) in March 2021. VECV sold a total of 1,499 units of commercial vehicles during the sale affected by the lockdown caused by COVID-19 in March last year. Eicher branded trucks and buses registered a total sale of 6,870 units in March this year. In the same month last year, this figure was at 1,476 units.
Last month, Eicher’s trucks and buses had a domestic sale of 6,054 units, compared to 1,409 units sold in the same month during 2020. Eicher trucks and buses exported 816 units last month. They were at 67 units in the year-ago period.
Tata and Maruti also rocked
Tata Motors has sold a total of 66,609 units in the domestic market in March. The auto major sold 11,012 units in the same month last year. The company has also recorded growth in its commercial vehicle business. Tata sold a total of 40,609 units of the commercial vehicle last month. At the same time, the company dispatched 7,123 units affected by the lockdown in March 2020. At the same time, the country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) is also burning. Maruti Suzuki has sold a total of 1,67,014 units in March. To divide this figure in a short time, the company has sold about 5,387 models every day, that is, the sale of the company has been around 225 units every hour.
