India’s Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria arrived in Israel on 3 August. The Chief of the Air Staff went on an official visit to Israel at the call of Major General Amikam Norkin, Commander of the Israeli Air Force. Earlier, the Indian Air Force Chief left on a visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday. This visit was a sign of India’s growing strategic ties with the Gulf country.
At the same time, regarding the visit of the Air Force Chief to Israel, the Indian Air Force said, ‘India and Israel have strong and multi-dimensional relations as strategic partners. An important pillar in this is defense cooperation and exchanges at the military level. India and Israel will discuss to increase the depth and scope of bilateral exchanges between the two Air Forces. Let us tell you that India and Israel have very good relations. These relations range from defense cooperation to diplomatic. India also keeps buying advanced weapons from Israel.
Air Force Chief arrives in UAE to strengthen defense cooperation
Earlier, Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday. The purpose of this visit was to further strengthen India’s growing strategic ties with the Gulf countries. His visit comes nearly eight months after Army Chief General MM Naravane’s visit to the UAE. In December last year, Naravane undertook a six-day visit to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. This was the first visit of its kind by an Indian Army Chief to the two important Gulf countries. This is a ‘goodwill visit’ of the Indian Air Force Chief to the UAE and will strengthen bilateral defense cooperation, an official release said.
India-Israel relations have improved a lot since 2015
