After the change in FAME II subsidy, all electric companies are cutting the price of their vehicles and now Ampere’s name has also been added to this episode. The company has cut the price of its two scooters by 9 thousand rupees.
Ampere Magnus And Zeal Scooter
After the FAME II subsidy, many electric vehicle manufacturers like Revolt Motors, Ather Energy etc. have drastically cut the price of their scooters. Now the name of another electric two-wheeler company Ampere has also been added to this list. The company has cut the price of scooters Magnus and Zeal falling in its performance category by about Rs 9,000.
Let us tell you that under the FAME II policy, companies will have to fulfill certain criteria, which include a minimum top speed of 40 kmph for an electric scooter and a minimum driving range of 80 km. According to this policy, customers earlier used to get a subsidy of Rs 10000 per Kwh, which has now been reduced to Rs 15,000 per kWh. The new prices of electric scooters have come into effect from June 11, 2021.
New price of Magnus and Zeal
Ampere has cut the price of these scooters by Rs 9,000. According to the information given on the company’s website, customers can now buy Ampere Zeal for Rs 59,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi). At the same time, customers will have to pay Rs 65,990 for the lithium-ion variant of Magnus. Along with updating these prices, it has also been informed on the company’s official website that these prices are till June 30 and can be changed in the coming time.
Features of Ampere’s Magnus and Zeal scooters
Talking about the look and design of these scooters, these scooters look simple. Features like daytime running light, fully-digital instrument cluster, remote keyless entry, combi-braking system and USB charger have been provided in the Magnus scooter. On the other hand, Zeal gets features like dual-speed mode, front glove box, daytime running lights and harmonic braking system.
Talking about the battery and driving range of Magnus and Zeal, both the scooters have a detachable lithium-ion battery pack of 1.68kWh capacity. It will be fully charged in 5 to 6 hours. The company claims that in a single charge, customers will get a riding range of 84 km in Magnus and 87 km in Zeal scooter. Both the electric scooters are operated by a BLDC motor and generates a maximum power of 1200W. The company is giving a three-year warranty on the battery and motor of both the scooters.
