Hyundai has already launched the facelift version of the new Creta in Russia and plans to process the same in China soon. Customers may have to wait for now to see the 2022 Creta in India.
Indian customers will have to wait for this now
Hyundai is all set to drive the 2022 Creta SUV in Brazil later this month. The Korean carmaker will launch the facelift version of this popular compact SUV in the South American country on August 25. The new Creta SUV is also known by the name Crete in some markets in Brazil. In such a situation, it looks much more premium than sales, while changes have been made in its features as well. The biggest change that gets to be seen in the vehicle is its redesigned grille which looks like the recently launched Hyundai Alcazar.
The 2022 Creta SUV was launched in the Russian markets earlier this year. It was recently spotted testing on the roads of China, which indicates its early launch in the Asian markets. For Brazil, this will be the second generation of the compact SUV since its arrival in 2016.
Features
Apart from the front face of the new Creta, the facelift version of the SUV hardly sees any other changes. The teaser released in Brazil via Hyundai shows the same headlight and taillight, alloy wheels and other exterior features that have already been seen in the Indian version.
On the inside, not much has been changed in the facelift Creta. For the Brazil variant, Hyundai has added a sunroof and digital panel to the SUV. It will get the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the Indian version, as well as a 7-inch digital driver display seen inside the Creta in India, which will give a tremendous look to the dashboard.
As far as the safety features are concerned, the new Creta is likely to get ADAS, electronic parking brake, lane assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitor with camera as seen on the Hyundai Alcazar.
The facelift version of the Hyundai Creta is likely to be powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated engine. Both the engines can be mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. The small turbocharged unit produces 121Hp of maximum power and 172Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the larger 2-litre unit is capable of producing 168 hp of power and 201 Nm of peak torque.
