Skoda Octavia
Skoda Auto India has some very big launches planned this year and the all-new Octavia sedan (2021 Skoda Octavia) is one of them. The launch details of the new car were officially confirmed by Skoda Boss in a social media post a few days back. It is expected that this car will be launched in India in June.
The fourth generation Octavia sedan made its official entry in November 2019. Now with the generation change, the Octavia has received several updates from the inside. From a completely revamped exterior design to a new cabin, technology and updated powertrain options, the Octavia has turned into a completely new offering. Let us know some of its plus points before the launch of this car…
These changes will happen on the exterior of the car
Exterior highlights of the new Octavia include a new butterfly grille with black vertical slats. The grille is equipped with LED headlamps with dual J-shaped LED DRLs and fog lights. At the rear, it gets LED taillights, which reveal the sporty profile of the sedan. There is also Skoda lettering on the bootlid. The same lettering design has been implemented by Skoda in many other new products as well. The 2021 Octavia gets 17-inch alloy wheels that give the car a muscular stance.
Infotainment system will be great
The India-spec Octavia is expected to come with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system which will be one of the key features of its interior space. Other cabin features will include a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster stored by three-zone climate control, two-spoke steering wheel, shift-by-wire gearstick, and flat bottom sporty-looking steering.
The car will sway with a strong engine
The Octavia will be powered by a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine that will produce a maximum power output of 187bhp and a peak torque output of 320Nm. Transmission options will include a seven-speed DSG automatic unit. The Octavia will be a direct rival to sedans like Honda Civic and Hyundai Elantra.
