Factory will be ready by 2022
The annual production capacity of this factory of Ola Electric will be 10 million units and this factory will be ready by 2022. Apart from this, phase-1 of the factory will be ready in June 2021 itself and during this period the company will have 20 lakh annual production capacity. At the same time the company can launch its electric scooter. Which will compete with the Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube in the Indian market.
World’s most advanced factory
This factory of Ola Electric will have a total of 10 productions lines. The company claims that it will be the world’s most advanced two-wheeler factory. The factory is built on the principle of Industry 4.0 and will have 3,000 robots equipped with Artificial Intelligence. The plant, spread over 43 acres, will have 2 million square feet of footprint. Apart from this, this factory will have dedicated area for battery, paint shop, welding, motor, general assembly, finished goods. Along with this, there will also be two supplier parks. Considering the environmental imperatives, it will have 100 acres of forest area and mega block with solar rooftop.
Factory will have solar, renewable energy
Ola Electric claims that the power needs of its mega factory will be met by solar and renewable energy. On the matter of employment, the company says that 10,000 jobs will be created from its mega factory. Apart from this, vendors and suppliers will generate additional jobs.
